The Ultrasound Department was established in December 1985 by Mr. Zhang Fengming, who served as the head of the department. Since March 2020, Mr. Li Hualin has served as the director of the department. Since December 1985, from one black and white B-ultrasound set in the early stage, the department has now owned 27 high-end color ultrasound sets (including 4 portable ones). The ultrasound team member has increased from 1 to 45, including 33 medical technicians and 12 other personnel. The department own 3 chief physicians, 3 deputy chief physicians, 23 attending physicians. There are 1 chief expert of Zibo City and 1 Zibo famous doctor. 5 of them own master’s degree,7 of them are learning in postgraduate.
The department carries out ultrasound examination of all parts of the whole body. There are obstetric ultrasound, gynecologic ultrasound, pediatric ultrasound in characteristic subspecialty and adult ultrasound, two-gland ultrasound, pelvic floor ultrasound, interventional ultrasound in characteristic subspecialty. The department was the first in Zibo to carry out the new technology of early diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy with vaginal probe, the new technology of ultrasound-guided radiofrequency treatment of uterine fibroids, and won the second prize of Zibo Science and Technology Progress Award. Fetal system ultrasound (four-dimensional ultrasound), as a hospital brand inspection project, was the earliest in Zibo. The new technique of reversing fetal position under ultrasonic monitoring has been carried out since 2020, which has increased the rate of vaginal delivery. Some new technologies and projects, such as 3D-TVS, Screening for severe fetal abnormalities, Ultrasound E imaging technology, to be launched in 2022 are at the leading level of Zibo.
