The Oncology Department was founded in 2006 by Dr. Liu Xianming and served as the head of the department. Since 2018, Dr. Guo Jianping has served as the director of the department. There are 37 beds. There are 32 staff, including 3 deputy chief physicians, 9 attending physicians, 5 radiotherapy physicists and 7 supervisor nurses. There are 3 doctors and 7 masters.
The department has a gyroscopic stereotactic radiotherapy system, linear accelerator, hyperthermia machine, thermoperfusion chemotherapy machine, millimeter wave therapy machine and other advanced equipment. Focus on the specialty subject development of brain tumor (primary brain tumor & brain metastases), lung tumor, gynecological tumor. In 2012, it took the lead in introducing the gyro-rotary whole-body stereotactic radiosurgery system in the city to carry out whole-body stereotactic radiosurgery.
Oncology Department established Radiotherapy Committee of Zibo Medical Association in 2015 and became the chair unit, taking the lead in carrying out the popularization and education of tumor MDT in the city and advocating the development of multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment in the industry. In recent years, the department has carried out new technologies and projects, mainly including MRI guided brain stereotactic radiotherapy, keloid prevention irradiation, intravenous infusion port placement and maintenance, CT-guided Bard gun lung puncture biopsy, skin dynamic monitoring of radiotherapy patients, and TCM nursing. The Oncology Department provides specialized, standardized and individualized diagnosis and treatment services for the majority of cancer patients. As well as the department offers services such as bed reservation and health science popularization.
